14 january 2012 : Well, here's an update on the upcoming "Sandpaper Blues Knock Out" EP release on Dice Industries!

		The new 4-song EP will be released worldwide by Dice Industries on January 28th 2012. It has been mixed and mastered by Kris Belaen at CCR and John. P. at Bear Cave Studio's. All songs have been produced by C&A guitarist John Pollentier. Physical CD's will be available at all Metalzone and Billboard recordstores in Belgium. 24 september 2011 : The release of the new EP "Sandpaper Blues K.O" might be postponed for a few months but no worries, we're looking at various options as we speak. In the meantime we received word that Plu-Fest @ Nijmegen / TheNetherlands is cancelled due to license issues. The whole thing will be rescheduled and should happen somewhere around March 2012. Of course Cowboys & Aliens will be honored to be on the bill again. What's more ... 04 april 2011 : Tonight the last vocal recordings will be done for the comback EP "Sandpaper Blues Knock Out" to be released later this year. It will contain 4 tracks: "Questions vs Answer", "In My Time", "Sign of the Omen" and "Worth your While"

COWBOYS & ALIENS - ROCK IS A MANY SPLENDORED THING: "SANDPAPER BLUES KNOCK OUT" 2011

4 years after the final blast of guitars & drums died out the four original members found each other once again in a back alley, at a time when only stray dogs & drunks rule the streets. Naturally the boys felt right at home and decided to have some be...ers and laughs; at a bar no-one would care to remember. The four decided that the world was in desperate need of some more heavy riffing' and promptly forgot why they stopped playing together.

It all happened in the firm tradition of a spaghetti western anyway so the band thought Sergio Leone wouldn't be that pissed off to welcome back the Belgian stoner pioneers on stage.The good man would even be delighted with the idea of a new EP haunting the world as a long-haired split-eyed tattooed ghost.

Cowboys & Aliens were something of an item between 1999 and 2007. Dour Festival, Graspop, support gigs for Monster Magnet, Soulfly, Danzig, Queens Of The Stone Age, Deep Purple in various top class venues in the Benelux and headlining tours in Germany, Switzerland alongside razzle-dazzle experiences with Holland's finest in the likes of Peter Pan Speedrock, Astrosoniq and Candybar Planet were no exception at that time. This, however, is history. The kind of history one should treasure. The future has begun as we speak. "Sandpaper Blues Knock Out", the new EP to be released this year is going to set Cowboys & Aliens right where they bloody well belong: on stage, blasting the volume harder than ever before. Looking for a conquest…
